Lady Gaga's beating the New York City humidity by going nearly naked!
The
singer stepped out on Wednesday in just a white bra, tan jacket, and
high-waisted jean shorts, completing her look with a black studded cap
that read "GAGA."
Later
in the day Gaga went one step further, losing the bra altogether, whichunfortunately led to a major wardrobe malfunction. As the singer
attempted to shield her eyes from the paparazzi, her jacket fell open,
giving onlookers an eyeful.
As
an aftermath of the leadership crisis that broke out at the House of
Representatives during plenary on Thursday, the Speaker of the House,
Hon. Yakubu Dogara, was forced to announce a long adjournment of plenary
till July 21, 2015.
Before announcing the adjournment, the
Speaker reminded the members that they belong to a priviledged class
amongst Nigerians and should as such conduct themselves in a peaceful
manner and face the task of providing qualitative leadership to
Nigerians.
Dogara
expressed his disappointment over the ongoing squabble, saying that
Nigerians are in high expectation for members to hit the ground running
on legislative matters, and that as long as members remain divided,
effective legislation will be impossible.
He
asserted that disagreement was inevitable, but not the one that will
frustrate the job they are expected to do and jeopardize nationhood.
Dogara
said,
“The people of Nigeria want to hear us talk about poverty,
insecurity, unemployment and as long as the house is divided and not
united, we cannot achieve that. We have been down this perilous road
before. I plead of us as Hon members and as leaders that all hands must
be on desk to enable us achieve the desired unity that will help us move
this house forward. That is the responsibility we owe.
“For the
issues that led to the chaos today, we will sit as leaders and approach
whatever divide we have to ensure that this matters are quickly resolved
and on that note, I am moving for adjournment of proceedings by virtue
of rule 10 and mutual concern. I hereby adjourn this house to July 21,
2015. The house stands adjourned,” Dogara said.
For
mulling the idea of not appointing a minister from each of the 36
states of the federation, a Kaduna-based lawyer, Sunny Akanni, has
threatened to drag President Muhammadu Buhari to court.
According
to Akanni, it would amount to gross violation of the Nigerian
constitution if the President failed to appoint ministers to represent
each state of the federation.
He said the constitution is so clear
on ministerial appointments by the President, asking why the President
would be contemplating reducing the number of ministers in order to cut
cost.
The
lawyer said: “I have heard speculations that the President wants to
reduce the number of ministers to be appointed to save cost of
governance. That is a very good step and I commend him for that, but in
taking such step, he has to be conscious of the provisions of the
Constitution as well.
“Section 147 of the Constitution said the
President shall appoint at least one minister from each state of the
federation, who shall be indigene of such state.
“So,
if a minister is not appointed from my state, I will challenge it in
court because that is a violation of the provisions of section 147 of
the Constitution. So it is compulsory that he appoints ministers from
each of the states, he has no choice.”

Roberts was being held in Fayette county jail on charges of kidnapping,
aggravated assault and aggravated battery, Joyner said. The body-guard, whose
name wasn’t released faces same charges.

Nigerians, particularly, entertainment lovers have continued to
eulogise legendary musician, Dan Maraya Jos who passed away weekend.
The singer died in Jos after a protracted illness.
In
his tribute, Director General of the Federal Radio Corporation of
Nigeria (FRCN), Ladan Salih said the late singer would be remembered for
transforming the society through music.
He
said, “We shared many moments. He was to me a brother and a friend. I
am devastated. But I am proud he lived a very useful life, transforming
society through music and silently through Islamic endeavours. May Allah
grant him Aljannatul Firdaws. Amin. For the record he was a recipient
of the National Honours of MON, OON and United Nations Peace Medal.”
On
his part, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar eulogized the late Dan
Maraya Jos for using music to contribute to national unity. He urged the
people of Plateau State and indeed all Nigerians to take his death as
an expression of the will of God and honour his memory by living
together in peace, harmony and unity…
His words, “Dan Maraya Jos
used music to contribute to national unity, peace and stability by
preaching togetherness. I will miss him.”
In
his heydays, Dan Maraya performed at key events across the country. His
last known public performance was at the Peoples Democratic Party’s
fund raising dinner in Abuja before the 2015 general election.
Music star, Olu Bankole Wellington, famously known as BankyW, confirmed that he might quit music in no distant time.

As
fathers were celebrated globally, controversial gospel singer and
nudist, Maheeda has said there was no point celebrating the day, since
she never benefited from those she called her father.
She said
while her real father left her five months after her birth, her step
father whom she grew to know as a father assaulted her sexually, by
raping her when she was only 11 years.
She
further clarified that, by her real father leaving her, she meant that
the man passed on while she was still tender, hence she never got a
fatherly love.
Maheeda
who made this known in series of tweets , rhetorically asked why she
should celebrate a day that has left a permanent scar on her.
In
a response to some wishes, Maheeda wrote,
‘’ Happy Father’s Day? Which
father? The father that left me from 5 months old? Or the step father
that raped me growing up? Fuck the Father’s Day!! Not for me huh? Keep
your wishes.”
