Kim Kardashian Cried When Kanye West Gave Her Closet a Makeover

 

If Kim Kardashian’s Cinderella, then Kanye West was her clothing fairy godmother back when they started dating in 2012. The “Only One” rapper, 37, gave the reality star, 34, a closet makeover at the start of their relationship, which was documented on an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. 

Years later Kardashian landed the April 2014 cover of Vogue with her hubby and has attended countless fashion events (including the Met Gala), often applauded for her bold style choices. In a recent interview on Live With Kelly and Michael, North West’s mom recalled the moment West cleaned out her closet.

“He had his stylists come in and they put everything that he thought wasn’t cool enough in a pile, and I walked in and it was a pile to the ceiling of shoes — all my amazing shoes that I loved,” she said. “And I started crying. I was like, ‘I can’t get rid of this stuff, your stylist has no idea what she’s talking about.’ So I put it all in another room, and I was like, ‘I’ll trust your opinion, but I’m not getting rid of my stuff.’” 

 

“Then I walked in my room and there was an entire room filled with all new clothes of all the stuff he wanted to fill back up my closet with,” he revealed. “And it was really cool new designer stuff and I hadn’t even heard of some of these designers before. It really helped me fall in love with fashion. I eventually did get rid of that stuff — my style has to evolve and change — but I couldn’t see it at that time.”

These days Kardashian helps her hubby dress up some of his simplistic outfits, but admitted, “He totally picks out my looks. I really do trust his opinion.”
